Special ICLEI café was held (28 October)

The second café in 2021 was held under the theme of “Biodiversity”, with the participation of members of the Network of Local Authorities for Biodiversity, represented by the Mayor of Nagoya.

Aichi Prefecture gave a presentation on the first part of the CBD COP and the progress of the Edinburgh Process to gather the opinions of local government in countries, and what has been learned through collaboration with related parties.

Following this, Nagoya City gave a presentation on its achievements over the past 10 years under the Aichi Target, including the publication of “Aichi-Nagoya Biodiversity Best Practices”.

ICLEI shared about its role as an international council of municipalities and its contribution to the Edinburgh Process.
