[Aichi Prefecture] Speaks at “The Online Dialogue on Biodiversity and the Edinburgh Process for Local Government Summit on the 7th Biodiversity”
On Friday 9th July, ICLEI East Asia and the Scottish Government held the「The Online Dialogue on Biodiversity and the Edinburgh Process for Local Government Summit on the 7th Biodiversity」
The purpose of this event was to exchange opinions on the progress of the Global Biodiversity Framework through the Edinburgh Process, to share advanced initiatives and best practices of local governments, and to discuss future cooperation beyond the 15th Conference of the Parties (COP15) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
In addition to Yunna Province and Kunming City, where COP 15 will be held, Singapore, Shenzhen City, Beijing City and other cities gave a speech to introduce their local biodiversity initiatives. Aichi Prefecture made a presentation on biodiversity initiatives as the host of COP10 and the importance of cooperation among stakeholders involved in biodiversity.
