Speech and discussion at the 1st Matsuyama SDGs Cafe in 2021
Since the Matsuyama City SDG’s Promotion Council establishment in July 2020, it has grown more than 180 organizations that are working to create a sustainable community. On 25th June, the Matsuyama SDGs Promotion Council held the “Matsuyama SDGs Café”, with 48 council member organizations participating. The first part was a keynote speech, and the second part was a panel discussion and workshop.
As an observer, Mr. Uchida, Executive Director of ICLEI Japan, gave a keynote speech on “Global Issues including Climate Change and Japan” and participated in a panel discussion on the theme of “Balancing Business and Social Issues” as a panelist.
In the workshop, participants were divided into 8 groups and discussed what they could do to solve local issues.
