The 11th International Forum for Sustainable Asia and the Pacific (ISAP2019)

Togo Uchida, Executive Director of ICLEI Japan participated as a speaker at ISAP 2019 held in Yokohama, on 30-31 July

The 11th International Forum for Sustainable Asia and the Pacific (ISAP2019) organized by Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) was held on 30-31 July, and ICLEI Japan supported the event as one of the partner organizations.

Togo Uchida, Executive Director of ICLEI Japan participated as a speaker in the session “Communications for Science-based Decision-making” and introduced the local governments’ point of view.

Discussed how we deliver scientific information to business and local governments, how we bridge the gap between scientific recognition to Climate Change and Biodiversity, and citizen’s understanding, etc.
