The 1st Advisory Committee on CBD Municipalities and Biodiversity
The first meeting of the Advisory Committee on CBD Municipalities and Biodiversity was held on 4th June 2021.
From Japan, Nagoya City participated in the event and announced its contribution to the 7th Local Government Summit on Biodiversity, which will be held in parallel with the 15th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD-COP15).
In addition, the background of the establishment of the Advisory Committee and its role were also discussed, and the roadmap to COP15 was confirmed.
This committee is open to all local governments, not only for international dissemination, but also to contribute to policymaking and harmonization within local governments, and as of 2nd June, 13 cities have participated.
