Best Practices of Circular Food Production and Consumption in Japan and Korea: A Handbook for Local Governments
Funded by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, ICLEI East Asia conducted a research project on the food system in three East Asia cities, Seoul, Hiroshima, and Sapporo through the circular lens. With the contributions from the local governments, the research results have been synthesized as the publication Best Practices of Circular Food Production and Consumption in Japan and Korea: A Handbook for Local Governments. The Handbook delved into the circular strategies, actions, and interventions from two perspectives: food production (urban farming) and consumption (reducing food loss and food waste) to provide step-by-step practical references for other local and regional governments in the region and beyond.
