Online Meeting for 2050 Zero Carbon Cities

ICLEI Japan was invited to present on Race to Zero at the regular meeting held by Ministry of the Environment Government of Japan (MOEJ). Yokohama City also informed their intention to launch the municipal council for gathering opinions toward decarbonization on 21 January. As of May 24, 389 local governments announced their commitment to net zero carbon emissions by 2050 – which is equivalent to 87.0% of Japan’s population.
