ICLEI Japan Activity Report 2024

ICLEI Japan has released the ICLEI Japan Activity Report 2024, summarizing key projects, international events, and collaborative activities with member local governments in Japan and abroad. The report highlights ICLEI’s World Congress held in São Paulo, Brazil, in June 2024, which brought together over 1,500 participants from 96 countries, including mayors and city leaders.

It also covers the participation of Japanese local governments in major global processes, including CBD COP16 in Cali, Colombia, and climate-related side events at COP29, where city leaders from Saitama, Tokyo, and Yokohama shared insights on climate action. In 2025, ICLEI Japan will continue to support member municipalities and promote innovative urban initiatives on the international stage.
