Tokyo holds preparatory meeting for SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 City Leaders Program
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) will hold SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 in the Tokyo Bay area from April to May 2024 as an initiative to promote ‘Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo = SusHi Tech Tokyo‘, which creates ‘sustainable new value’.
One of the events is the SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 City Leaders Program, which brings together leaders from cities on five continents. TMG hosted a three-day international conference from 31 January to 2 February as a preparatory meeting for the SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 City Leaders Program, attended by executive leaders from 51 cities on five continents.
The participants presented their initiatives under the themes of ‘Inclusion and Equity’, ‘Safe and Secure Cities’ and ‘Environment’, as well as opinions were exchanged and discussed, with a view to addressing common challenges faced by cities around the world. The meeting then summarized the initiatives shared by cities and discussed solutions to urban issues for the May meeting.
Through this network, TMG will further deepen relations between cities and create measures to solve problem through active communication between cities for a brighter future.
