さいたま市
首長からのメッセージ
清水勇人 さいたま市長
さいたま市は、人口130万人を超える大都市として、市民・事業者と連携し「オールさいたま」で脱炭素社会の実現に向けて取り組んできました。また、気候変動をはじめ、地球規模の課題解決には国内外の都市、関係機関等との連携が大変重要となります。
さいたま市は、これまでもイクレイと連携し、2022年に開催した「Saitama Sustainable Cities Summit」や2024年のCOP29会場で主催した「E-KIZUNA High-Level Talks」において、ご参加頂いた都市の皆様と先進事例や自治体の役割の重要性を共有・発信してきました。
今後もイクレイや他都市の皆様と力をあわせ、ともに課題解決に向けて取り組んでいきたいと思います。
環境面の取り組み
さいたま市は、2020年に2050年ゼロカーボンシティを表明し、2022年には国から脱炭素先行地域に選定されるなど、脱炭素社会の実現に向け、さまざまな取組を進めてきました。
2024年には、市民・事業者・自治体が連携し、地域の脱炭素化を図るための「さいたま市ゼロカーボンシティ共創推進プラットフォーム」を設立するなど、「オールさいたま」で脱炭素化に取り組んでいます。
Associate Partnership is available to non-governmental organizations, universities, state and national government agencies and not-for-profit research institutions. The purpose of Associate Partnership is to facilitate dialogues between local governments and these partners, to provide knowledge transfer in line with ICLEI’s Mission and Charter, and an avenue for which partners can support ICLEI’s work and mandate.
