イクレイ日本の活動
イクレイ日本は、アプローチ・目標において、会員自治体による国際イニシアティブや会議への参加支援や、先駆的な都市の事例を国内外に発信・共有しています。
持続可能な社会への移行に向け、世界的に「都市の役割」が重要視される中、イクレイ日本では、国際的な都市間連携を通じて、都市の主体的な取組を支援しています。
１．日本の自治体による先進的取組の海外へのアピール
- 国際イニシアティブへの参加支援
- 国際会議への参加支援・発表の機会創出
イクレイ本部（ドイツ・ボン）や他の地域事務所と連携して、イクレイが主催・共催するイクレイ世界大会等の国際会議をはじめ、気候変動枠組条約や生物多様性条約の締約国会議（COP）や国連環境総会（UNEA）などの国連会議において、会員自治体の参加や発表の機会を創出しています。
２．会員自治体のための情報交換・発信機会の創出
会員自治体と関係者による定期的な情報交換・情報発信の場として、イクレイカフェ等を開催しています。

３．国内外の関連情報の収集と提供
国内外の自治体による先進的取組や持続可能な社会の実現に向けた動向等について、メールニュースやホームページで情報を提供しています。

４．研究調査・コンサルティング
イクレイのネットワークを通じて、国内外の自治体を対象とした研究・調査支援や、国際会議企画などの受託事業を行っております。
Associate Partnership is available to non-governmental organizations, universities, state and national government agencies and not-for-profit research institutions. The purpose of Associate Partnership is to facilitate dialogues between local governments and these partners, to provide knowledge transfer in line with ICLEI’s Mission and Charter, and an avenue for which partners can support ICLEI’s work and mandate.
